Batrire (Supporting)

Appears from the start

A dwarven god, founder, and Fowl's wife. She belongs to the divine alliance supporting Max's family as the group approaches a long separation and prepares for future conflict.

Bound demon companion (Supporting)

Appears from the start

A demon god bound to Max and counted among the founders. He helps arrange the farewell for Max and Tanila's daughter, though the coming centuries of separation weigh heavily on him.

Bob (Supporting)

Also known as Consume

Appears from the start

A sentient black skill who advises Max and fights through him. Bob helps assess the unusual range of the daughter's abilities and is wary of the public arena challenge Max intends to undertake.

Rabbit-shaped System helper (Supporting)

Appears from the start

A vorpal-rabbit System adviser attached to the founders. The helper cautions Max against another arena fight and assists with the plans surrounding the daughter's departure.

Max and Tanila's daughter (Supporting)

Appears from the start

Max and Tanila's half-elf daughter, a God Child nearing the Tower's final floors. Her broad range of abilities includes Ultimate Form and Thorn Aura, while success will separate her from the founders for centuries.

Frost Jotun world-eater (Antagonist)

Appears from the start

A frost Jotun world-eater that Max selects as his arena opponent.

Arena attendant (Minor)

First appears in chapter 4

An arena attendant who offers Max a more dangerous match against an unidentified opponent before he reaches tier five. The attendant controls access to the opponent's historic fight recording, which Max requests before making a decision.

Cordelia (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 4

An elven god and founder who examines Max's extraordinary gains after his arena victory. Her reaction helps establish how far the reward exceeds an ordinary divine advancement.

Red dragon companion (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 5

A red dragon in Max and Tanila's daughter's coordinated five-member Tower party, alongside a warrior, a mage, and a dwarven healer.

Shiny (Antagonist)

First appears in chapter 6

A metallic Tower guide who becomes a twenty-foot copy of Max and Tanila's daughter for the final trial. Shiny reproduces the daughter's body, equipment, and abilities as the party's last opponent.

Centaur elder (Minor)

First appears in chapter 12

The elder leader of a centaur pack on a world suffering drought, sickness, and population loss. The elder recognizes Max's divine claim as Max returns to investigate the failing world.

Younger centaur warrior (Minor)

First appears in chapter 12

A younger centaur whose mate died during the long decline of his world. He openly condemns Max's absence and challenges the elder's leadership while demanding responsibility for the suffering around him.

Darkness entity (Antagonist)

First appears in chapter 14

A large, regenerating creature of darkness guarding the centaur world's control panel. It consumes elemental magic and drains life from the surrounding land, resisting Max's conventional wind and sword attacks.

Rakonath (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 15

A dragon god bonded to Max and ranked among the alliance's strongest combatants. Rakonath is one of the companions Max considers while judging the danger posed by the creature corrupting the centaur world.

Resident god of the dark world (Minor)

First appears in chapter 19

A powerful local god on a perpetually dark world claimed by Max. When Bob's death magic forces a confrontation, the resident god chooses negotiation and permits Max to reach the world's control panel.

Demon king (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 26

A demon ruler summoned because of an outstanding System debt to Max. Though frightened by the subject, the demon king accepts a demand to explain the wider divine game under rules requiring truthful disclosure.

Portal-network helper (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 38

A representative of a multiworld portal collective who offers Max several levels of membership. The helper knows unexpected details about Max's daughter, making otherwise favorable trade terms a source of suspicion.

Collective investigator (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 42

An analyst who studies arena records and Collective patterns for Max's group. The investigator finds earlier cases in which peaceful gods challenged much stronger opponents and died with unusual betting around the fights.

Shepherd god challenger (Minor)

First appears in chapter 42

A tier-three god from a peaceful Collective world who unexpectedly challenges Max. The challenger's modest arena history and the betting pattern around the match make the decision appear deeply abnormal.

Gnome Collective contact (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 45

A gnome figure in the Collective whom Max privately questions about a coerced arena challenge. The contact recognizes how threats against loved ones could force a god to accept death and cautions Max against aggressively pursuing ancient powers.

Arena master (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 46

A gelatinous arena official who enters Max's wards through arena privileges. The arena master acknowledges that outside interests have compromised the arena and proposes a wager pairing Max with Unbroken at odds of twenty to one.

Unbroken (Antagonist)

First appears in chapter 46

An ancient captive offered as Max's arena opponent at twenty-to-one odds. Unbroken has killed every challenger for sixty thousand years, regenerates and adapts to attacks, and grows by consuming defeated gods.

Arena representative (Supporting)

First appears in chapter 55

An arena official who confirms the tier-four restriction and the stakes of Max's coming fight with Unbroken. The representative stresses the captive's intelligence, undefeated record, and vast experience fighting gods.
