Unintended Cultivator, Volume Eight

Continuing the series, Sen travels toward the capital with his female companion and spider companion, evading wilderness threats while cultivators repeatedly intercept them to delay, threaten, or kill him. Along the way an ex-sect cultivator surrenders into his service to protect his juniors, and a wandering ally known for aiding the poor joins the group. As the attacks escalate into an organized ambush outside the capital, Sen faces increasingly dangerous opponents while trying to protect his companions without losing control of his own reputation as the feared Judgment's Gale. He finally reaches the capital, is publicly escorted in on the king's orders, and is drawn into the political fallout of the assassination attempts against him, including a confrontation with the noble house believed responsible.
