Unintended Cultivator, Volume One

Sen is a homeless, parentless boy surviving by theft in the town of Orchard's Reach when a powerful traveling cultivator, Feng, chooses him as a disciple over the sons of the local nobility. Feng first secures a comfortable home for Sen's only companion, the elderly Grandmother Lu, then takes Sen into the wilderness to begin his training. Along the way Sen befriends a Ghost Panther spirit beast, undergoes painful purification treatments that strengthen his body, and starts learning to read and fight under Feng and his old friend Kho at a remote mountain manor. As his training deepens, Sen begins to sense and experiment with an unfamiliar internal energy he has not yet told his masters about.
