Way to the South

Continuing the series, badly injured after a desperate battle, Hadjar learns that the only cure for a companion's fatal soul wound lies in the spirit world, guarded by the Summer Queen's palace. Accompanied by a mysterious demon ally who has his own unexplained stake in the journey, Hadjar crosses hostile fae borders and treacherous enchanted forests, each testing him differently: one forces him to relive painful memories from his past, another makes him pay in blood for every step forward. Along the way he receives an unsettling revelation about a woman he once loved, and is drawn into open conflict with the Summer Court's guardians before continuing on toward a legendary ancestral site said to hold the next stage of his path.
