An Alvarin warrior who is both the Lunar Eternal's partner and combat instructor. She pushes him to improve his technique and regards his confidence in resurrection as a dangerous disregard for death.

A Solar Eternal scholar and combat mage who researches the scattered blade shards. His study of Talon's records allows the group to operate the Waystone network and travel rapidly between surviving links.
Orphea (Antagonist)

A hostile Solar Eternal present at the Shattered Bastion. She recognizes the Lunar Eternal after his unexpected arrival and confronts him as the human garrison's attack comes to a halt.
Leofric (Antagonist)

A divine adversary who speaks through the rusted blade shards when the Lunar Eternal touches them. It offers safety and power if he abandons the reconstruction effort, while imposing fear and anxiety through the connection.

The Dvergar leader of a hidden Shagnar Fawn settlement in the ash wasteland. The leader admits the Lunar Eternal into the community while regarding the visitor as a possible agent of Leofric.

A powerful Eternal adviser within the Shagnar Fawn hierarchy. The adviser attacks the Lunar Eternal with invading spirits and freezing energy, displaying both supernatural control and exceptional physical endurance.

The Dvergar leader at Talon's Keep during the Inyoka assault. She is gravely wounded while two of her sons die defending her, but the Lunar Eternal reaches her in time to restore her injuries.
Alvarin Empress (Supporting)
First appears in chapter 20
Saren's sovereign, whose attention can be summoned from anywhere in Amaranth by invoking a beacon arrow left for Saren. The group regards calling her as a dangerous option and initially withholds the beacon.
Worm Prince (Antagonist)
First appears in chapter 27
A white worm commanding the defenders before the Spire. He considers the blade shards part of his brood's horde, refuses to surrender them, and challenges the Lunar Eternal to a duel without promising a reward for victory.
White Prophet (Supporting)
First appears in chapter 28
The leader of a mixed community of rejected Inyoka at the Spire. He admits that parts of his prophecy about collecting the shards were invented and guides the party underground to reveal the cause he truly serves.
Great Worm (Supporting)
First appears in chapter 29
A colossal white worm hidden beneath the Spire with the final two blade shards embedded in its body. Their death-linked corruption has spread through the creature, leaving it in agony and driving it into madness.
