Defiance of the Fall

By TheFirstDefier, JF Brink

In this opening entry, an alien integration abruptly reshapes Earth, and Zachary Atwood survives a forced lottery event that should have killed him, then wakes on a merged, monster-infested world with no sign of his companions. Isolated near a distant red pillar marking an active incursion, he must recover from his wounds, learn the rules of a new leveling and questing system, and fend off demonic beasts while searching for a way back to his scattered family. Assigned punishing deadlines to kill the incursion's heralds and its general, Zac begins building a hidden outpost and hunting alone, discovering that the power the system has handed him comes with dangerous obligations.
