Dragon Heart - Book 7: Land of Demons

By Kirill Klevanski

Book 7 of the Dragon Heart series opens with Hadjar found critically wounded in the borderlands and carried to safety by his ancient tigress companion and three young disciples of the Red Mule School. As he recovers at a border fort, a massive orc army arrives, not to conquer but to negotiate through Hadjar, the only person present able to speak with them as an equal. The orc chief reveals that his people are fleeing a demonic force that is converting orc warriors into obedient puppets, and offers an alliance against the shared threat. Owing the disciples a debt of honor, Hadjar accepts a dangerous ritual trial to prove himself a worthy partner for the coming campaign against the orcs' enemy.
