Before the final assault, Hadjar confronts the first Darkhan fragment within his soul and cages it. The commander already knows that the orcs have left the region and held a victory festival, but Hadjar refuses to reveal the tribes' secret. Instead of detaining him, the officer entrusts him with an overdue and urgently sealed scroll for the capital. Hadjar departs as its sole courier aboard a cargo brig. The pirate ship responsible for his earlier aerial disaster attacks the brig. Hadjar boards it alone, destroys the vessel, and kills its spirit-knight captain. He continues toward the capital with the scroll. At the same time, his neural network finishes reconfiguring and begins calculating how to destroy the remaining 996 lines of the weapon-essence seal.

The Black Star ritual ends when Hadjar kills Irma, preventing the altered child within her from founding the king's lawful demon empire. The wounded king is trapped in a revelation-ore cell, but his death is not confirmed, and the queen's fate is also unknown. Helmer rescues Hadjar, Derek, and the orc hunter from the collapsing gorge and reveals that the prophecy and expedition served his plan to extract the half-human demon woman.
