The first entry in the Infinite Realm series opens as Earth is absorbed into an interstellar game-like system called the Framework, giving humanity a strict decade to produce ten thousand qualified survivors for passage onward or leave everyone else in stasis once the planet is destroyed and harvested. Lifelong friends Ryun and Zach are thrown into this new reality mid-camping trip: Zach receives a straightforward combat class, while Ryun gambles everything on a rare and unproven cultivation path that promises great power at much greater risk. Separated from the rest of their group and confronted almost immediately by monsters, the two must find their missing friends, adapt to a world where danger and opportunity now go hand in hand, and decide how far each of them is willing to go to grow strong enough to survive it.
