Oathbound Healer

After her death, Elaine is reincarnated with fragments of her former life's memories into the body of a human infant in the city of Aquileia, where women cannot become citizens and are excluded from much of the formal training available to boys. Guided by her parents, an active healer and a city guard, she works around those restrictions to gain practical skills, confirming along the way that she has retained detailed knowledge of biology from her past life. When her father is badly injured protecting her during a dangerous confrontation and a local healer cannot fully treat the wound, Elaine begins considering the demanding path of a light-aligned healer as a way to help him.
