System Change: A LitRPG Adventure

By SunriseCV

After a rescue portal fails mid-escape, elite tank Derek Hunt is left stranded alone in a lightless void, where he survives an unknowable span of time before a monstrous creature's intrusion gives him a way out into an unfamiliar world. Cut off from his old system and starting over at level zero, Derek retains his prior physical power and skills while learning this world's very different rules from a lost child named Thomas, whom he protects and escorts toward his village. As they travel through a forest visibly corrupted by an unexplained disease, they discover a nearby village destroyed by an unusually powerful monster attack, and Derek must decide how far to involve himself in a threat that looks bigger than one lost child's journey home.
