The Primal Hunter

By Zogarth

When Jake and his coworkers black out in an elevator, they wake to find Earth drawn into a system-run multiverse and enrolled in a survival tutorial. Choosing the Archer class, Jake joins his office group in a 63-day trial inside a monster-filled forest, where killing beasts earns points toward the tutorial's rewards. As his combat effectiveness grows, so does friction with his supervisor over Jake's independent, aggressive approach, and an ambush by fellow human survivors forces him to kill them in self-defense, awakening a rare bloodline ability that sharpens his instincts and perception. After a rival group's leader tries to coerce his former colleagues into joining a larger faction, Jake leaves them to hunt alone, fighting off pursuers sent to eliminate him and pushing toward the deeper, more dangerous parts of the forest in search of stronger prey and hidden rewards.
