The Primal Hunter 2

By Zogarth

The second book in The Primal Hunter series continues the tutorial that Jake and the other transported humans face inside a monster-filled forest. Having separated from his former colleagues, Jake pushes through dungeons built around powerful Beast Lords, honing his archery and bloodline abilities as he tracks and picks off the herd guarding the Great White Stag, then descends into a shifting, dark-mana sewer maze in pursuit of the tutorial's next Beast Lord. Along the way he unlocks a Legendary skill that slows time to help him survive lethal blows, refines his poison and melee techniques, and begins manipulating dark mana on his own. Elsewhere in the tutorial, his former supervisor Jacob builds a following among the dwindling survivors as a religious leader, drawing the attention of a rival named William, who works to eliminate the tutorial's other leading contenders before it ends.
