Questioning the responsible officials reveals that people labeled unskilled are transported to a secret site north of the capital. Max kills the senior official after extracting the lead, retains four lower-ranking prisoners, and gives his family the means to relocate safely. Inside the hidden town, Max finds drained young human corpses and a concealed route underground. He returns with his companions, who insist on facing the danger as his family. The lower facility contains prisoners, red skill elixirs, and a shard being used to reach the System. Tanila's gold-haired sister arrives with armed elves and overwhelms most of the party. Max carries her to the desert world, where they fight beyond the facility. He summons Sock the leg, a royal-ranked demon permanently bound after three accepted summons, and eventually traps the elf in his Dimensional Space. Back at the facility, the other elves identify their leader as a queen. When the shard attacks Bob's connection, Bob evacuates the party to Rakonath's guardian. He discovers that the shard belongs to a hidden network tracking humans taken from Max's world for at least a thousand years. Bob reverses its attack and destroys it, apparently annihilating the entire hidden town. Max executes the lesser captives and questions the queen. She confirms that elven royalty transported harvested elixirs for roughly a millennium and that a tower's final floor involves a fight. A compulsion kills her before she can explain further, and Max finishes her death.

Consuming the elven queen gives Max several legendary advances and a partial royal-elven Bloodline state. Bob detects and removes a concealed cosmic tracer, showing that the queen's powers carried traps likely tied to the elven goddess. Rakonath consumes the queen's remains and equipment under his guardian's instruction. Max leaves the young dragon to continue training, while distant System overseers notice a connected threat but choose not to intervene. When the party inspects the destroyed facility, only an enormous glass-lined crater remains. Max reports the harvesting network to Everett and Tom, then seeks another controlled meeting with the temple god. Kathleen, a former tower climber whose extended life binds her to temple service, helps prepare the summons. The god accepts Max's report and says he will alert the dwarven god. He gives Max a one-use message scroll and another artifact piece, acknowledges the crisis surrounding all three black skills, and warns that other gods may use Max's loved ones to control him. The System punishes the god when he approaches forbidden knowledge, but he still insists that Max must survive and complete the tower, while advising him to leave his friends before the end.

Kathleen sends warnings intended to discourage pursuit of Max. He rewards Dexic for protecting his companions and renews his promise to help her through floor 50. On the journey toward the dwarven capital, Max proposes to Tanila and she accepts. The party first visits Batrire's family. Fowl forgives him and reunites warmly with his other siblings at the forge. Despite his siblings' concern, Fowl confirms that he will marry, return to his party, and continue trying to complete the tower.

The party reaches Nalgren, where non-dwarves are forbidden to fight above tower floor 50. Golden Axe leader Erwinnie offers help seeking permission and trades access to rare crafting materials for tower crystals. The undead boss's rewards give every party member a powerful incorporeal ring. Cordelia's bow skill, Batrire's healing, and Fowl's shield and weapon skills all become legendary. Tanila's feared inherited red skill also reaches legendary rank, immediately strengthening her urge to use it and deepening her fear of resembling her family. Max chooses Legendary Regeneration for his own advancement. The party presses on to floor 59, where a metal arena contains a hostile audience from another world. A goblin king and dwarf queen demand revenge for a distant royal relative and send a giant clockwork champion against the group. Max uses his strongest abilities to breach the machine, remove its core, and kill its pilot, then warns the rulers not to escalate. The reward chest gives Cordelia a skill that summons a temporary purple wolf. Afterward, Tanila tells Max that her family includes three concealed brothers as well as the sister they fought. She fears both their influence and the effect of her skill on the child she carries. Max and Tanila reaffirm that they will marry, raise their child, and help each other choose a different path from her relatives.

With the wedding close, Max and Fowl mine rare rose ore for Fowl's gift to Batrire. The monarchs then grant Max the royal honor of forging a special wedding gift. Using Fowl's life force and both spouses' blood, Max creates a bound legendary elemental healing staff for Batrire. It improves her abilities and grants an additional effect when she heals Fowl. Dagon and Velda complete the rope rite and formally declare the couple united. The celebration closes with the core party intact, Fowl and Batrire married, and Everett preparing for an imminent assignment in another world.
