Unintended Cultivator, Volume Four

Continuing the series, Sen struggles with an intensifying anger since forming his core, a change his companions - Falling Leaf, a distrusted watcher, and a reluctant fire cultivator - all notice as he travels toward the Clear Spring sect in search of the manual he needs to complete his body cultivation. At Clear Spring he learns the manual exists but is sealed inside an inaccessible time treasure, and instead spends a day communing with a sentient spring that teaches him water qi while warning that his contained rage risks hardening permanently. When cultivators hired to cripple him ambush him as he leaves the sanctuary, Sen kills or wounds his attackers before the party departs north, only to be trailed by a Clear Spring noblewoman who wants his help with a dangerous family matter he is reluctant to accept.
