Voidgod

Continuing the series, Maulkin and his companions abandon their sealed fortress and rally the Dvergar, Shagnar, and local humans into an uneasy alliance to defend the Shattered Bastion after Araphel's return. Sent to scout enemy activity near the Serpent's Gate, Maulkin's party discovers that a floating Alvaren city is capturing living Inyoka and feeding them into war-beast factories powered by mutilated, still-living Eternals. Maulkin turns the scouting mission into a prison break, fighting through the city's defenders to free the captives and destroy its forges even as the Alvaren queen personally confronts him over the attack. The mission costs him dearly, but he regroups to bring the freed prisoners to safety as a darkness linked to the Voidgod begins spreading across the land.
